Do you accept payments from doctors for recommendations in your regional dermatologist guide?

Thank you for asking this!  The dermatologist guide the reader is referencing is my reference here. The answer is no…..we don’t accept any payments of any kind from doctors, pharmaceutical companies, device companies or advertising. We support this site solely on product sales on our shop. The revenue from the sales  pays for the upkeep of the site when we need to redo the front end or back end of the site.  And it pays for monthly help from our amazing social media/web design person in L.A….. Jen. We have no plans at this moment to change that.

Doctors in the international and regional dermatologist guide:

• These need to be updated.  I last updated them several years ago, but good doctors generally don’t change that fast.  I don’t have time to work on this and need staff!  🙂
• Doctors do move around, though, so they all may not be in the same locations as listed;
• Another good resource for those in the U.S. is the AAD.org (American Academy of Dermatology), where anyone board certified in dermatology is listed and often with an address.
• I pick the international sources based on doctors from those countries who go to international meetings (like IMCAS in Paris) and give lectures.
• I can’t guarantee that anyone will like or have a good experience with a doctor.

Products in the SkinTour shop:

• I’ve tested all the skincare products listed on my shop. I carry them because I can attest to excellent results. Our office and our patients use them.
• I need to update the products in our shop, too. There are great ones on there, but there are several I’d like to add.  Another few hours in every day to do this would be great, but haven’t had the time!
• When you all suggest products, I do look at them usually, and read the ingredient lists.
• High quality antioxidants, sunscreens and retinoids (like Renova and retinols) still are the basis of any great skin care regimen.
