How to talk about the results you want with your doctor or nurse.
You are so welcome!! I’ll answer a bit more specifically at the end, but you raised something I think would be helpful to others.
How to talk to your doctor or nurse about the look you want
Before you go in …the night before is good…..take a look at your face and neck. No one expects you to know all the technology to get the result you want. In addition, no one expects you to know the different properties of all the different fillers, including all the techniques to inject them. But it really helps if you can identify what is bugging you, or bothering you, before you go in. Make a small list and then prioritize it. It might look something like this:
- Corners of mouth are turning down
- Frown lines (“elevens”) on forehead are back
- Upper lip lines
- Poochy area just below the corner of the mouth.
Or….whatever you are wishing you could fix!
You can find that earlier post here. But please remember, the actual filler injected is less important than the SKILL of the injector. It’s more how much is injected and where and how……rather than the exact product usually. Never let anyone inject the little plastic beads (Belafill & Artefill) that are permanent into your skin though. They can’t be adjusted as you age or change your mind.
On the Thermage question, unlike IPLs which are very different from device to device, the Thermage equipment is the same. The differences are in which tip the operator uses – 600, 900, or the body tip, and then how they “vector” the pulses on your face. That’s the art of it.
